Forgiveness
2 Chronicles 7:14
14 if my people, who
are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and
turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive
their sin and will heal their land.
Psalm 103:8-12
8 The LORD is
compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding
in love.
9 He will not always accuse, nor
will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our
sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are
above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions
from us.
Jeremiah 31:34
34 No longer will a
man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' because
they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the
LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no
more."
Luke 15:3-7
3Then Jesus told them this parable: 4"Suppose one of you has a
hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the
open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his
shoulders 6and goes home.
Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I
have found my lost sheep.' 7I
tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one
sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to
repent.
Acts 10:43
43All the prophets
testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of
sins through his name."
Ephesians 1:7
7In him we have redemption through his
blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace
1 John 1:9
9If we confess our
sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from
all unrighteousness.
